The final amended Marketing, Advertising and Communications (MAC) Sector Code was published in the Government Gazette on 1 April 2016 and thus became effective for application for companies in that sector from that date, i.e. no transitional period is applied. The draft amended Transport Sector Code has been gazetted in terms of Section 9 (5) of the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) Act 53 of 2003 as amended by B-BBEE Act 46 of 2013 and issued for public comment.
